From maths to human

The way of business application developments for long time following common path. Independent of the area of activity first comes the process analysis. It will result - usually on paper, or with old fashion modeler applications - in task sequences and data. That is what the developer companies, vendors concentrate on. We see many new process analysis and development methods, new agile way of product creation, but the core problem is not answered. 


Rather, all these systems are furter developed and vendors use the new technology stacks, big data analysis for extension of core systems with intelligence. Then the probablity of events can be calculated, we say predictive operation is enabled. AI helps system to understand better the actual process conditions and help the human user in decision. The final goal can be to eliminate human from the processes as much as possible.

Therefore, according to the new vision of business systems, we tend to believe the collecion of vast amonut data, and being able to process it, will increase the productivity of workers, will let companies to save human resources and replace them with mathematical algorithms. That is why data scientists are well paid, the most sought profession by the competitive, digital enterprises.



Digital leaders and followers share this view, still concentrating on the digital part of the business life. Even in that case, if they work for company that takes care of the intrinsic motivation of they employees, building an employee brand based on shared values with the market. 

But what are the shared values of a company and the market really? Is it productivity, high level digitalization? Digital communication with the market players on fashioned application? Cool presence in the online media? I think by running ahead with new technology and organization methods, they do not match together while in both of them the human factor is deeply participant in the game.


Ho to come back to human values and still keep the technology advance behind? In all cases companies shall better concentrate on the product what they sell to the market. This product shall be designed really from the beginning to serve the users, the employees. Therefore it is needed to use such product for the development that fulfills the criteria. Older companies suffering to change they systems and organization, that enables to generate really usable products. Those ones that makes work fun, satisfy the employees. While all productivity and other KPIs are the consequence of that.


Maybe this is a catch 22, and new generation business solution are to issued by yet unknown new companies. Those who keep human factor in front of all, the first priority again.
